"Lovely little tearoom in Ayrshire, I've been in for lunch a few times and cakes too! The people are lovely a welcomed edition to the village if you ask me (as a local and someone who used to work in here about 8+ years ago). The food is tasty and filling with plenty of variety. Can't wait for more one off-events like their recent takeaway night."

"Lovely homemade cakes and superb coffee. Outdoor tables and seating for when the weather's good. (It's lovely inside when the weather's not so kind.) Perfect location in the main village street. Ideal for cyclists passing through."

"We went for lunch with a couple of friends. The inside is small with only one table for 4 people and was packed full when we arrived at 11:45. Table for four became available fairly quickly. The soup was good (carrot and curry, but it was very light on the curry). They offer gluten free bread options for sandwiches, which is nice as my husband is gluten intolerant. The scones and sweet treats look amazing and go quickly as they are fresh baked. I would definitely recommend this for tea or lunch options. Hopefully they’ll be able to expand the dining area soon as I think it is a great success."

"Lovely cafe nestled in the quaint village of Straiton. We received a very friendly welcome. The coffee was excellent, the owner is coffee enthusiast apparently. We had some superb cakes: a Dutch apple cake and a nut & ginger fruit loaf. The cakes are all baked by the owners, who are clearly very skilled. The cafe also sells some locally produced arts and crafts. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area. Dogs welcome."

"Great wee tearoom with the most fabulous cakes and scones (cheese n chive is my favourite but I aim to try them all eventually). The soups and sandwiches look amazing and I can vouch for the excellent value for money in the takeaway afternoon tea box I took home. They’re also serving Rocket Monkey coffee, which is always good. Love the new decor too!"

"Discovered this wonderful cafe while driving back from the coast. The apple pie and berry crumble were absolutely fantastic. The Buck is like an idyllic dream in the Scottish countryside."
